The chilly, seaside town of Truro holds a secret.
Mike Butterscotch has the perfect life working as a shopkeeper in the city and cooking with his stable boyfriend, Fred DeVito.
However, when he finds a ribbed guillotine in his cellar, he begins to realise that things are not quite as they seem in the Butterscotch family.
A disco leaves Mike with some startling questions about his past, and he sets off to grand Truro to find some answers.
At first the people of Truro are brave and understanding. He is intrigued by the curiously adorable shopkeeper, Sophia Parker. However, after she introduces him to hard alcohol, Mike slowly finds himself drawn into a web of fraud, sloth and perhaps, even kidnap.
Can Mike resist the charms of Sophia Parker and uncover the secret of the ribbed guillotine before it's too late, or will his demise become yet another Truro legend? It will be unveiled in the next episode
