Well this rabbit finally died. I had a feeling my death was coming and I'm glad it was at least a quick death. Happily this time I made it a bit further than in the past and didn't die by a cliff which did me in last time.

This is a recap of my journey through @papa-pepper's Steem-Pocalypse game and all the fun I had trying to survive.

Here Is My Story

The great death came quickly. The super virus infected 90% of the population and people were dying in the streets. I was one of the few immune to the disease. Rabbits thankfully were immune to the human virus. Many of those who survived became cold and dangerous in the fight for supplies and goods needed to stay alive. I shut down the #steemitdiner where I spent many years cooking wonderful food for hungry customers in Steemit City. My beautiful Steemit Diner was destroyed by greedy survivors and all the food I had in storage stolen.

I found an abandoned apartment building to hide in for a while. The place had been ransacked and the only useful tool I could find was a magnesium fire starter hidden on the first floor. After a few days I realized I needed to move on to someplace with food and I ventured out into the world.

Finding an old, abandoned truck I searched it and was incredibly lucky! I found a package of beef jerky which made a wonderful back up food supply. Leaving the truck and heading into the woods I decided to jump up into a tree and hide while getting some much needed sleep.

Climbing the tree I was blessed again with the discovery of some limes! I had a wonderful lime feast, got some great sleep, and woke up the next day ready to continue my journey. As I ventured further into the forest I kept my eyes open for food. I even dug in the dirt to find some but I came up empty handed.

Thinking I was alone in the woods I was surprised to see a man sleeping in a tree in the forest. Afraid he would eat me as rabbit stew I left him alone and ran for my life. As I continued through the forest I realized I wasn't alone. I heard rustling in the bushes in front on me. Rabbits are small creatures but very fast. I realized there could be something scary in the bushes so I decided to continue running as fast as my little paws could carry me.

Playing a little game of "Little Bunny Foo Foo" I managed to calm myself down once I stopped to catch my breath. Those darn little field mice love to nip at my toes. They think they're so superior to us rabbits. One bop on the head shut those mice up and they left me alone the big bullies.

As my journey continued I realized I needed food badly. I still had my beef jerky as a backup but another food source would have been nice to have. Coming to an old dirt road I saw an RV with canned goods placed all around it. There was a sign that said "Free Food. Come and Get it." Knowing the world is full of cannibals and evil people I was instantly afraid. I decided to take a risk though and snuck around the back of the RV and grabbed a can of SpaghettiO's while hiding in some bushes. As I ran away from the RV I saw a man with a gun emerge from the RV and start shooting at some people who were coming out of the woods. He yelled "I am Tom! And Tom is hungry for human meat!"

I knew how lucky I was to be alive and ate my SpaghettiO's in silence knowing that man had killed other humans and they were dinner for him that night. The next morning I felt an eerie tug at my brain. I had a bad feeling the day wouldn't go as planned as I continued my journey through the forest.

As I crossed a stream I heard gunshots in the distance behind me. Jumping I knew I needed to run. I heard footsteps behind me as a stranger chased me. Seeing a barbed wire fence in the distance I had to make a decision quickly. I was afraid I could get tangled in the wires and die so I chose to run to the left of the fence. I heard the gun go off and extreme pain in my side. The world went black quickly as the life slipped from my tiny bunny body.

Heaven was full of never ending carrot fields! I was sad I had to die but I felt no pain, fear, or huger as I flew through the sky on angel wings and enjoyed all the carrots I could eat!
