I am quite nosey I must confess. I am so interested in what's going on in other people's lives I really can't say why. I like to know what they eat, what they talk about, who they entertain, what they argue about, what their children are up to and how well they are doing. I evesdrop where ever and whenever I can. I walk when it's dark so I can peak into people's homes ( the silly ones who haven't drawn their curtains) I look in to see what furniture they have chosen, what they're doing, how they've decorated their Christmas trees; I hate to admit it but I think I'm sick and rather sad.
The neighbor on the left of my home is a photographer. A very nice good looking young man who I always smile at when I'm putting the rubbish out on a Thursday evening. I have a secret crush on him. If only I were years younger.
John has a lot of young friends coming and going and he's vegan. I know this from looking in his dustbin once when he was at work. Sorry 😳
John has never really paid much attention or spoken to me until last Monday. The most dreadful, horrible, embarrassing day of my life.
There was a knock at the door. "Oh good, my parcel from Amazon." I thought. I opened the door. I was wrong. It was John from next door. He smiled slyly and handed me a card. With that he said,"sorry can't stay and talk must dash".. How strange and intriguing I thought.
I ripped open the envelope and recognized at once the two old busy bodies on the card. My body blushed, my face flushed, the complete and utter shame that washed over me.
The card was a photograph of my partner Freddie and me spying and evesdropping on our neighbors who live on the right of us. It was taken by John who must have been watching us last Saturday afternoon.
We thought we were secluded, that nobody could see into our garden. Often on a weekend we sunbathe in the nude to get an all over tan.
How very wrong we have been.
Caught with our pants down AND not only that, the embarrassment of being caught being NOSEY! Not sure which is worse.
And as if things couldn't get any worse, in the card, John had written out," do yourselves a favor and check out this link".

PS The above story is fiction. The photo is not of me and I've never been caught with my pants down so far. 😂😂😂😂
