Probably No Further Adam Chapters Until @fulltimegeek Stops Flagging Bernie

I disagree with flagging being a waste of time. Flagging is the most important function in the Steemit ecosystem, in my opinion.

I wish people did it more.

A lot of the problems on Steemit could be nullified by a healthy flagging culture.

I doubt it'll ever happen, though.

I disagree with that comment more than just about any comment on Steemit - I think flagging totally sucks and I'd bin it in instance.

Here is what flagging looks like:

I've been toying with the idea of a manual curation flagging account, similar to what Curie does but to help clean up the ecosystem a bit. If I put something like that off the ground, would you be interested in delegating to it?

I think it's a great idea, but unfortunately I have nothing to delegate. You can try, but I doubt any of the users who would have anything worth to delegate, would be interested.

Good luck, though.

I'll make the attempt, regardless! Delegation is harmless to the delegator so I don't see why I won't pick up a few people willing to help. Thanks for the support.

Doesn't something like that already exist in SFR, steemflagrewards?

So what are we doing here anyway? Is this a social media platform or a video game where we build armies to flag each other to bits?

If it's a video game; I want better graphics. Greetings.

Steemit is its own unique beast, to be fair.

The irony of SFR being supported by both wasn't lost on me, but I wasn't aware that Steemit was their personal playground.

Greetings! This is the first I've heard of it. I'll take a look before I do anything, but here's the general idea of this project specifically:

Purpose

To assist with the efforts of @steemcleaners and other flagging accounts through manual submission and review of content that is specifically mis-tagged via a kind and manual system of warning, flagging, and rewarding.

Criteria for Flagging

The post must be from an author who is a repeat offender of mis-tagging.

No first time offenses! (We all make mistakes sometimes)

All content in the post, photos, video or otherwise must be manually reviewed to verify that tags are truly inaccurate.

Execution

A community interface (likely Discord) will be created where approved and trusted curators will be able to submit posts for review.

Once a post has been verified to have been authored by a repeat offender, the post will be commented on from the @name account with a warning about the inaccurate tag and a process for remedying it.

If no action is taken within the established timeframe (variable, decreased for repeat offenders), then the post will be flagged by the @name account with a strength proportionate to the number of incorrect tags (1 tag, 20%, 2 tags, 40%, and so on) up to and not exceeding a percentage that would take the rewards to zero.

If, in the event that the author remedies the miscategorization of their post, their post will be upvoted with 10% of @name's voting strength.

I'm specifically aiming for mis-classified content, nothing else.

So you have been on Steemit since August this year and now you are deciding what to flag?

You will go far... Hopefully far from Steemit!

Cute
