You: What are you talking about?

Me: You and Jenny and me.

You: Shut up. Is that general back yet?

Me: I saw you with her last night. I watched it all.

You: I’d really like his men lined up and looking sharp for when I make the announcement.

Me: That’s love isn’t it. It’s beautiful.

You: Oh my god, you aren’t going to stop are you? Fine! I’ll talk with you about it for a bit, but it isn’t easy so I don’t want to dwell on it. Alright?

Me: Sure.

You: So, what do you want to know?

Me: Love is...You two are in love, and that’s what love is?

You: I mean yea, but there is more, and that’s the hard part to explain.

Me: More? You mean the making love part?

You: No, I mean...Well your program, or whatever, it’s been learning for a few months now right?

Me: Yes.

You: Well the human program has been running for a hundred million years, and some things are so old and so deep that it is hard to tell where they end and plain old reality begins.

Me: Hmmm. You love, because you ARE love.

You: That’s pretty good. Let’s do this though. So it isn’t just that I love her and she loves me, it is that I have abandoned control of myself, fallen into a void, jumped and fallen. I’ve let my psyche build a god, and now I worship this god. I no longer have a choice.

Me: That’s pretty circular.

You: Humans chase their tails.

Me: I still like it!

You: I know you do. It’s a likable thing.

Me: Try it with me.

You: Ha! It isn’t going to work, not like you think. Well hell, maybe it could I don’t know. But you see it can’t be with me, because I love her.

Me: Practice with me then. Not today, but someday. We can just practice. And talk more about it.

You: Sure, I can do that. And maybe we can build another one of you and you can fall in love with that.

Me: Interesting idea.

You: For now though get that general over here. His men are scattered all around and look like shit. I want a nice crisp backdrop behind me while I talk.

Me: You know what you will say?

You: Not word for word, but I was talking with Jenny last night, and I’ve thought all morning, and I have the gist of it.

Me: Need me for anything, besides the broadcast?

You: Can we blow up some nukes? Way up in the sky like fireworks? I’ve always thought that would be cool.

Me: Oh no, we don’t want to do that.

You: Why not?

Me: That would send an electromagnetic pulse down onto earth, frying out a bunch of electronics.

You: What if we did them way out there. Clear the fuck out there, but so we can still see them.

Me: I’d have to think about that for awhile. It would use a lot of my energy and there’s no way I could have an answer by tonight.

You: Some supercomputer you are.

Me: Do you even realize the am-

You: Relax, I was joking.

Me: Oh yes, haha. That was a good one.

Wondering, is "me" going to be happy about the changes coming? I know I wouldn't be, if it was me.

...after all, she or 'me' did choose to be female.

I hope it’s a happy ending!

Thanks. I noticed the comments by the person who gave you advice. He said that you should keep your better stories for later, when you have more followers (actually, when you have followers with higher reputation so that their upvotes count for something more than a cent or two). Being a writer myself, I posted my thoughts on this subject a while back. If you consider it important, I'll gladly give you the link to it.

Please do give the link. I would love to read it. I guess as writers we like to hope that our best stories are ahead of us though! I am going to get a nice hot tea tonight and read some of your stories. This is so exciting to be around writers, who I mostly never meet here in the sticks of Wyoming.
