Well, this was a great read. Again I was hit by the little twist you added at the end.

I'm now really curious about what happened. Seriously.
Was it all in her head or was it actually real until the last moment?
I guess I can only hypothesize. Unless you do a follow up. But it would be such a bummer having to wait for the next Halloween :P
