Right to remain silent is not implying guilt.

One thing that really needs to stop is this rhetoric that exercising your Fifth Amendment right to remain silent is an implication of guilt.

There's an old saying that a lawyer who represents himself has a fool for a client. That couldn't be more true for the rest of us.

If you're facing charges, it doesn't matter how innocent you are, the best thing that you can do is keep your mouth shut.

This is why the judge in the Rittenhouse trial lambasted the prosecutor for trying to use Rittenhouse's previous silence against him in court. The greatest gift that an innocent person can give to a shitty prosecutor is a statement made without counsel.
