Lost in the darkness - in fifty words

in fiftywords •  7 years ago

Old oaks block the sunlight, eternal darkness reigns here.
This is not a forest, but a tomb.
She is not afraid, she is past fear now. She is only tired.
Vultures are joyfully laughing, the feast is near.
Her eyes closed for the last time.

...

Darkwood forest took another victim.

a forest is a fitting place for bones

Now, that is a powerful line, right there

Dark, yet poetic. Wonderfully written little tale.

Thank you. In the forest named Darkwood, the feel of the read is bound to be dark

Spooky and intense, amazing as always. You have an equally good talent with short ones as you do with longer stories.

Thank you. Both are challenging in their own way. In the end I always feel I need more words to truly express myself

I have to remember to avoid Darkwood forest. Nicely done!

Thqnk you. Name itself is a good hint :)

Oh my! Not a forest, but a tomb. This is dark and scary and delicious!

Thank you :)
