By accident, I adopted a kitten and raised her who had a sore leg on the street 10 years ago. After that day, I have started to draw her till now. Cats can bond with humans, but they also always want to be loved, and they are even free and independent at other times, unlike dogs.
At first, I thought I was helping the cat. But now, ten years later, every day I feel how much I've got from my cat and how good of a friend is to me.
So, I have drawn a picture of a cat as if I were painting a portrait of a friend, sometimes as if it were painting a self-portrait reflecting my mind and feelings.
