Must Streams Series Recap

Have you ever watched a documentary or film that was so powerful it emotionally, intellectually, or spiritually transformed you in some way?

As I mentioned previously in my first post in this series, Must Streams of 2019 (Vol.1), throughout 2019 I’ll be sharing films and documentaries that randomly cross my path. The word randomly is italicized there because I believe most things cross our paths for a reason.

As someone who’s been practicing meditation and spirituality for over half of my life I’ve come to understand some of the hidden potentials of the human mind and spirit. Honestly, we're only scratching the surface of understanding how truly powerful we are.

My 2nd Pick For 2019

This documentary lends a very fresh perspective in the power of the human mind to heal chronic illness. It explains the ways in which our scientific methods are finally catching up to the more subtle healing methods that indigenous cultures have practiced for centuries. Heal also discusses the role pharmacology and conventional medicine play in the future of healthcare (it's not as large of a role as you might think.)

You can find out more about HEAL here.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

Thank you for reading,

Eric

Thank you for sharing this @ericvancewalton, I totally believe this! Many people are their own worst enemy as well. We're really capable of astounding ourselves if we only start changing from within and that can be done with regular meditation!

I believe it too, @lizelle. The placebo effect proves it beyond the shadow of a doubt.

Oh my goodness Eric, I was considering making a post about a documentary that randomly crossed my path a few days ago, that definitely did so for a reason as my husband and I are discussing some life moves we need to make- have you seen Free Solo? If you're unfamiliar with the term, free soloing is rock climbing without ropes. It is a bit of a sweaty palm nail biter, but for me, despite its obvious perils, Alex speaks to living this life without compromise or letting fear direct your path.

Also, haha, we had a long discussion the other night about the power of the mind and it's ability to cure dis-ease. So much love for these synchronous moments with you!

This happens so often with us! We must be on the same wavelength! It's very cool. I have heard of this doc. I think I saw it mentioned during the Oscars this year. We'll be adding this to our watch list.

One of the interviewees in HEAL mention about how living life from a place of fear and making fear-based decisions is a major component of chronic illness.

Thank you for the suggestion and I hope you have a great weekend!

Excellent video, I also believe that our thoughts, words and feelings are literally material and therefore have the ability to influence us and other people, in their subconscious and inspiring him with a certain program.

I agree with you. This film gives a completely new understanding of the nature of the human body. I am sure the power of suggestion can achieve unfinished opportunities in medicine

Heal is a very powerful film!
