The Many Views of Detective Dick Japowski
Let's be Cops (2014)
Two L.A flatmates realise that if they pretend to be cops, people will respect them more. But it isn't easy being a law man and soon enough the heavies are after them. Safe, mainstream Hollywood. Predictable, forgettable and non threatening.
First watch: 2 Doughnuts
The Arizona Case Files
Godzilla: The Planet Eater (2018)
Closing instalment of the Godzilla anime trilogy, which started out promisingly, but the closing chapter's so boring even the big green guy is asleep for most of the run time.
First watch: 1.5 Doughnuts
The Importance of Seeing Ernest with Detective Dick Japowski
Ernest Rides Again (1993)
Ernest P Worrell spends most of this film straddling a canon and being chased by English tea drinkers who are after the real crown jewels, whilst also being chased by shady Americans. The most fun set pieces and silly stunts so far in this series and some nice out there humour. Nice work Vern.
First watch:4 out of 5 on the Ernest-o-meter
The Arizona Case Files
Bird Box (2018)
Sandra Bullock doesn't really care for people, until people start randomly killing themselves, then she cares and she cares big. Flash forward five years and she's all alone with two kids, and a blindfold Bear Grylls act that's just not working out.

Jordan Rides the Bus (2010)
Part of the ESPN 30 for 30 series of films. A fascinating story of the greatest basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan, who in his prime hung up his vest and started playing minor league baseball. It was a story I was unfamiliar with and made for a strong watch. "It doesn't matter what others say as long as you believe you can fly" Trevor Coleman.

The Greatest Showman (2017)
This show has it all. Songs, dances, jacked men, and bearded women. And even with all the joy on screen the over reliance on special effects kept taking me out of it. A nice old fashioned movie and more fun than a Scott May daredevil stunt show.
First watch: 3.5 Doughnuts
The Arizona Case Files
Aladdin (1992)
Homeless man has ideas above his station and comes up with an elaborate plan to win the heart of a princess, and his ragtag band of friends are along for the ride.
A verified animated classic, cracking songs and Robin Williams, but it loses some of the shine when you release just how many plot holes there are.
Rewatch: 4 Doughtnuts
