Don´t Breathe (2016), is a thriller with a great dose of terror, which practically robs you of oxygen at times, when you prefer not breathe. When I saw this movie I did not know what it was, so it was a jewel for me, I had just seen the posters but I had not noticed the cast or the direction, as an anecdote that I want to share, I saw it together with my girlfriend and it was something that I liked, because I could realize firsthand that it was a good movie, between the two I am the lover of horror movies, but she scarcely gets scared and during the movie I could observe how she was immersed in the history.

The argument is simple, professional thieves being their sector steal people's homes, decide to make the hit of their "career" by stealing a blind man who lives alone, which they presume has a good sum of money saved. What can go wrong? The script takes the time to get to know the characters, which makes them credible, because it shows us how these thieves know what they do and allows us to see that they have knowledge of the laws: what to steal, not to steal , How much to steal. Don't Breathe, it's a movie that catches you, despite at the beginning you can think that it is a film more of the pile, with basic performances, that is going to make a simple and predictable film and a story little credible, but that you can be wrong or how wrong was it! The plot throughout the movie has twists in history, this does not know what is going to happen and just when you think it can not surprise you more, it does again.

The film is directed by Federico Alvarez, who had already directed Evil Dead (2013) already showed us that he is a good horror film director, in Don't Breathe he succeeds in submerging in the exact point where you can feel the fear, anxiety and stress of the characters, also merit for the actors is clear, in addition to this, makes us a gift to the spectators and a tribute to horror movies recreating a couple of scenes from two films from years ago, a fact that is appreciated.

A good horror film is characterized by the villain who can convey a sense that the protagonist is in real danger and this film brings together these factors, the villain starring Stephen Lang, who plays a great role, looks stunning against his attackers already despite his few dialogues manages to show a great personality and determination, his motives and intentions are hidden, but this achieves, that when revealed you really hate him, in addition that his character does not require much explanation as it is justified by its background. Contrary to the protagonist Jane Levy who shows you his motives from the beginning and why he runs so many risks, the villain has no weaknesses beyond his own blindness, while the protagonist looks totally vulnerable.

To emphasize of this film, the value that had the director to show scenes really crude that some movies Hollywoodian of the screen. The direction was great really Federico Alvarez shows that he is a great horror film director and the actors lived up to it, the script leaves a sweet taste, because it never becomes predictable and keeps us to the end thinking that it happened in the next scene. Do not breathe is a highly recommended movie if you like horror thriller, on the other hand if you hit easily you should be prepared for some scenes you will see.
