A while back we watched all of the Ghibli movies in chronological order. Porco Russo and Howl's Moving Castle remain favorites of mine. My Neighbor Totoro is also notable as Totoro became the Studio Ghibli mascot.

I just noticed that all my favorite Ghibli movies were written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki himself. Also, all of them were produced by Toshio Suzuki and the music done by Joe Hisaishi. I guess those three make a good combination. This does not mean that the other movies are not good. I still would recommend Ghibli movies any day.

I agree with you. There's quite a chance that I only talk about Miyazaki films as those are the ones that have made a lasting impression on me. The only exception would be Grave of the Fireflies that I've already covered. And the soundtracks by Joe Hisaishi are legendary! They seem to make the films even better.

Excellent taste, I absolutely adore Nausicaa and rewatch it every year. It's one of the best animated films I've ever seen.

Studio Ghibli has published a lot of awesome movies. but my favorite of them all is "Spirited Away". This movie is so good, you should check it out.

We are in the slow and laborious process of collecting Studio Ghibli movies. I don't think we have this one yet, must be remedied. I do remember watching it a million years ago, it was a good one :)

I was recently talking to someone about Grave of the fireflies. I watched it many years ago, but it still makes me sad just thinking about it. Such a great movie though. My favourite is still Spirited Away.
