Go Club At The Harbour + Torrential Rain

Jaro had returned from his holiday and we had our go club meeting at the harbour as usual. I had to take the bus to the harbour this time. Turns out there were floods in the city because of torrential rain that had occurred in the afternoon.

There must have been about 20-30 cm of water here and this was one of many.

There must have been about 40 cm of water. There were kids swimming. At this point the driver said he hoped nobody was diving across the pond.

This is a lake, not a crossing. Did you know that your vehicle insurance company will not pay for any damage to your vehicle caused by driving into a pond like this? If something breaks while driving across, you're on your own.

Ratkaisuja = solutions. That firm had better start looking for solutions for moisture damage repair.

The rain had stopped when I arrived at restaurant Piano.

While I was waiting for Jaro, I decided to check this out.

It started to rain a bit too heavily. We decided to go to one of the restaurant boats because then we'd have a roof over our heads.

I gave Jaro eight stones.

A bee came to bother us. After I'd finished my beer, Jaro acted fast and dealt with it.

You have no choice but to get used to your new life. Getting drunk should make adjustment easier.

At least the sky looked more interesting thanks to the rain clouds.

Sometimes you get nice looking reflections from the glazing of those balconies.

This was something else.

A little further, there is a beach. The heavy downpour caused that in the sand.

The sun would set in a little over an hour.

Better dynamics would be nice.

Time to go home

Hi markku. We have heavy rains that cause mini floods that our storm water drains should cope with. They don't because they are not maintained and most likely blocked with rubbish. Obviously your car insurance company have been stung with lots of claims from the pond flooding but I think they should still pay out through an all risks cover.

It is mentioned in the contract that intentionally driving into water is not covered.

Ok. That is different. Would people drive into the water
on purpose though?

Sometimes they would if they thought the water wasn't very deep and if taking another route took too much time. But it's very easy to be wrong about the depth of a pool of water.

A friend of mine got caught up in a flash flood on the freeway. He swam out his car window and made it out safely. When he went back to fetch his car the following day everything had been stolen. The wheels had gone plus the radio etc.

The water alone would've been enough to ruin that car.

Its look like rain flood is on that side may god save all us from that situations

I could have floated a kayak in there! Seems dangerous for kids to be in there with electricity around. Cool post.

Wow friend material like for three post. I was strong that rain, what happened with the drains of the streets failed by the amount of water.?
