No one needs a rifle! Until they do!

The complete lack of understanding of the anti-gun-ownership groups out there is just astounding to me in many ways. It seems that people that know the least about firearms are the most vocal about it and when I hear people who clearly don't know anything about weapons referring to silencers and high-capacity-clips when they clearly do not understand what either of these things actually do or are. They are just anti-gun because their party told them to be or because AR-15 look scary!

Occupy Democrats is a group of absolute morons with a near 100% "false" rating from fact-checking websites and when you consider that most fact-checking websites are full of shit as well, this is a really bad stat for them. Recently, OD jumped on the Ukraine bandwagon and a couple of Tweets emerged that someone spliced together. It shows their complete ignorance and how they just jump on whatever the political bandwagon happens to be at the time.

So what's going on here? Did their opinions "evolve" like Hillary Clinton's did with gay marriage or did they never really have a stance to begin with outside of whatever-the-conservatives-want-is-baaaad.

I suspect it is the second thing. I also know that they will not change their stance on gun ownership in USA over this even though they are totally for random ass people just getting handed weapons that are far more deadly than anything that I own.

I bet they also are completely unaware that a fully-automatic rifle is almost impossible to hit anything with unless it is mounted. I would be willing to bet that they don't realize that real life is not a movie and that recoil on full auto makes accuracy almost impossible. I would be willing to bet that they aren't even aware that most (and they love to use this word) "military grade" long guns have 3 settings and "full auto" should almost never be used regardless of how effective it seems in the movies that they have watched.

They would probably respond to criticism for this obvious hypocrisy by stating that "Russia would never be able to invade the USA or something like that - which is a very weak argument.

There are a lot of reasons why there aren't many nations that would consider invading the United States but the high level of private gun ownership and the ability to fight back would certainly be a deterrent.

I return to a line from True Romance where Christian Slater's character says "I would rather have a gun and not need it than need a gun and not have it."

It's not evolution, it's a broken-clock moment. You can be ASSURED that they will chastise guns during the next shooting where the shooter checks to woke boxes

absolutely. It's just so predictable now and hopefully enough people can see through the hypocrisy and lies.
