Its been a while after my 1st post #introduceyourself, happy to post my 1st blog here on "DIGITAL DISTRACTIONS @ OFFICE"
While technology has made us more productive, of late the distractions that technology creates has become a challenge.
The web is a continuous stream of distractions. Whether it is the news feed or the new deal in shopping or the ping that tells you of a new notification, digital distractions are really impacting our ability to focus.
- Smartphone users touch their device anywhere between twice a minute and upto once every seven minutes.
- Doing tasks between emails reduces your IQ by 10 points. Multi-tasking is seriously bad for you.
- It takes almost thirty minutes to get back your focus and get into a flow if you are interrupted.
How do you manage to find ways to do focused work amidst all the digital distractions? Meditating for even 10 minutes a day/ breast walking/jogging & exercising works well for me.
