I found this out cropping on the section north of Hookena. The water dropped off sharply all around me to what look like depths of 10-15 feet.
The action was ok but I didn't land anything worth keeping.
The hard part of fishing Hookena is the rogue waves that come in. I make sure i know the path to walk backwards if I see one coming.
If I see the wave too late I take a wide stance and get low.
Be safe out there my friend. Awesome photo from the drone I assume.;)
