It just occurred to me how wonderful it would be if steemit was connected or could be connected to fitbit.
In today’s society losing weight and weight loss exercises and routines are important especially during these summer months. Everyone is trying to be healthier and looking good so we can look good in our bathing suits. Others, just want to live a healthy lifestyle to be able to have a longer lifespan.
What if we could connect fitbit to our steemit account, and just like some apps give us points which in the end pay us (for as little as it may be) for all the steps we take and for having it connected to our account. This would definitely have more people using fitbit and “stepping” while getting paid to do it!
What do you all think about this? Would you be more active if you got paid for it?
I think this is a fantastic idea. I never ever leave the house without my fitbit charge hr. I have it linked up to the app bounts so i get paid to exercise.
Lets hope steemit will do something like that x

Thanks for your response. I know other apps " pay you" to connect them to fitbit so it would be great! Walgreens offers points for connecting and points turn into dollars when you shop in their store. It is awesome!

I like the idea, however, there are ways to cheat on Fitbit steps (attaching to a fan, jackhammer, ect). There would have to be some algorithm to combine steps and active minutes (which tracks your heart rate during activity) as well before people would be compensated for such an idea.

Thank you for your thoughts @mlamarc323. Well for those people that "cheat the system" they are really cheating themselves. But yes something could be implemented to see active minutes as well.
