When health is absent, wisdom cannot reveal itself, art cannot become manifest, strength cannot be exerted, wealth is useless, and reason is powerless.
Have you ever consider, that when you’re fifty, you should exercise your mind and body regularly, eat well and drink good water, and have a general zest for life, you’re likely younger in very real, physical terms – than your neighbor who is forty, works in a dead-end job, eats chicken wings twice a day, considers thinking too strenuous, and looks at lifting a beer glass as a reasonable daily workout or exercise quite funny.
This is just the believe of most people, having the mind set that they do not have time to give into a daily work out or even at least weekly. This same persons are having so much time for many other activities ignoring that which will better there health. Some forget that a living dog is better than a dead lion.
In this post I'll be discussing about the EXAMPLES OF EXERCISES, SOME OF THE BENEFITS OF EXERCISE, HOW CAN I START MINE TODAY, CONSEQUENCE OF NOT EXERCISING. If you think exercise is important to your body system please don't just view give an UPVOTE.
I'll love to start by letting you know that Exercise is an activity requiring physical effort, carried out to sustain or improve health and fitness. Exercise is also known as physical activity. I'll also put this In simple terms exercise is any movement that works your body at a greater intensity than your usual level of daily activity. One thing you should know is that if you go for your Exercise on daily bases, it raises your heart rate and works your muscles and is most commonly undertaken to achieve the aim of physical fitness.
EXAMPLES OF EXERCISES
You may be wondering "what can I do to reduce my risk of obtaining heart diseases, etc?" Exercising your body will be of good help. Some examples of exercises are listed as follow;
Gardening:
According to the Centers for Disease Control, gardening is compared to “moderate cardiovascular exercise.” Gardening 30 to 45 minutes a day can burn 150 to 300 calories. This isn't just standing there watering the flowers, but weeding, digging, hoeing, raking and planting.Walking: jogging Keep up a brisk pace to make it a good cardio workout . Strength: Yes. Your legs will get stronger from walking regularly. Sport: No. Race- walking is a sport, and you can often find charity walks to do with a group of people, but for most people, walking is not competitive.
Swimming: Swimming gives your entire body a great workout , including your core. Arms: Yes. You'll need your arms for most swim strokes, so expect them to get a workout . Legs: Yes. You'll use your legs to propel yourself through the water.
Dancing: Aerobic and Anaerobic. Dance is a great form of exercise because it provides you with both aerobic and anaerobic movements. Our bodies need a combination of both types of exercise in order to be at their healthiest. In dance, aerobic exercise can be achieved by jumping, swaying, twirling, etc.
Yoga: Yoga includes physical exercise, but it's also about life balance. Training your mind, body, and breath as well as connecting with your spirituality are the main goals of the yoga lifestyle. The physical part of the yoga lifestyle is called hatha yoga. Hatha yoga focuses on asanas, or poses.
Skipping: According to the British Rope Skipping Association, 10 minutes of skipping can have the same health benefits as a 45-minute run. Skipping is a full body workout which uses your abdominals to stabilise the body, legs for jumping, shoulders and arms for turning the rope.
But don't forget, if it isn’t challenging it isn’t exercise!

Exercise is crucial to supporting a fast metabolism and burning more calories per day. It also helps you maintain your muscle mass and weight loss.

Regular exercise improves blood flow to the brain and helps brain health and memory. Among older adults, it can help protect mental function.Quality Sleep and Relaxation:

Exercise can help improve sexual desire, function and performance in married men and women. It can also help decrease the risk of erectile dysfunction in men.
CONSEQUENCE OF NOT EXERCISING
Many heart related deaths are due to lack of
cardiovascular exercise . Lack of exercise can also cause heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure and arterial disease. Some consequences are listed below;
Weight Gain
I'm very sure you're aware that If you don't exercise, you may have difficulty controlling your weight. The extra pounds that come with too many hours on the couch may be a result of an inactive lifestyle, especially when coupled with poor dietary habits.Diabetes
Note that, Type two diabetes is on the rise in the world, partially because of consumption of too much junk food, sugary drinks, and other processed foods, but also because people exercise less. These are harmful, so the body releases insulin to cut the blood sugar to manageable level. Exercise not only uses blood glucose as a primary energy source, it also helps to sharpen the insulin receptors, improving insulin sensitivity.
Joint and Bone Fragility
This is actually the least obvious among the risks of not exercising is the impact on your joints and bones. A frequently exercised (and stretched) joint is flexible, while an unused one is weaker, less elastic, and more prone to nasty tears.Lack of Endurance
It is said that, If you don't exercise regularly, chances are you'll noticed a certain lack of endurance when performing certain tasks. This can manifest in many ways.Chronic Disease
In Nigeria, chronic disease is the main
cause of disability and death with more than 2
million Nigerians suffering from one or more
chronic illnesses. Physical inactivity is a major
cause.
HOW CAN I STAR MINE TODAY
- Schedule it. You don't go to important meetings and appointments spontaneously, you schedule them. Don't even assume you know what to do, and then start any how.
- Make it easy on yourself. Please do not forget to plan your workouts for the time of day when you're most awake and energetic.
- Remove obstacles. No pain no gain.
- Hold yourself accountable. Do not give excuses on your weakness. Take responsibility for every error and mistake.
