As one can imagine, you can feel a little bit (okay…A LOT BIT) lost when trying to find something that works. I mean all these people are advertising all these different exercise programs claiming that THIS, THIS Program…Its your life-changer. And let me be loud and clear. THAT’S BS!
There is no perfect exercise program or whatever. Its honestly a trial and error process where you find what works for you, and that most certainly doesn’t have to be what works for me or anyone else.
If you like to dance, then try some dance workouts. If you like feeling the burn while just holding a position, then try out some pilates and yoga (this stuff burns…like a lot- models and yogis make it look like a piece of cake…ITS A LIE!!!) If you’re pissed and super mad one day and want to punch something, then try cardio kickboxing or boxing (Lord knows it helps me when someone gets on my nerves). Anyways, what I’m trying to say is that there are so many options so feel free to try all of them out and create the one you like most. Because honestly, the goal is to do something that you like and WANT to do. This shouldn’t be a punishment. This should be fun- so turn on some music and get your blood pumping!
And even after all this, you still want to know what I do then… sure, here you go:
- Kickboxing
- Light Weights on occasions
I used to be super into weight lifting but ever since I got sciatica, I kind of take it easy
I use some light dumbbells (between 5 and 10 lbs.) and ankle weights - Cardio
- Toning Workouts
You know those regular pushups, mountain climbers, etc - Jump Roping
- Dancing
As you can see, it’s not one way, it more like all the ways and I just do whatever I feel like doing…because that’s all that matters. You enjoying it and being happy.
