Getting cozy in some "pillow splits" by letting my hips sink down into some comfy pillows :)
Day 46- went to my first aerial strength class at Mountain Air Dance in Bozeman tonight, and i really enjoyed it. Applied a few things that were mentioned into my practice tonight after the class-- we learned some resistance band hip strengthening exercises that i had not tried before, and also, the instructor mentioned something new to me about splits ! According to him, Tensions in the neck can hinder your splits! Some self massage, followed by a massage from my sweet fiance, and i am feeling pretty loosened up in the neck and shoulders...Sure felt great , but not sure if it benefited my splits much or not lol. I also played with stacking pillows and blocks under my front splits. That was interesting, and much more comfortable. I think that it will be helpful to add this into my practice more, because i was able to really sink in the hips, but i will get more pillows out next time , because the blocks were not super comfy :) TWO WEEKS LEFT !!!!
Day 47... sore muscles from aerial class last night, but feeling pretty good today, considering i was waitressing all day today as well. not all of my other stretching photos uploaded, but all the main 6 i take did , plus some others, but i did do everything on both sides. No resistance training tonight, giving the legs a bit of a rest after last night. But lots of pillow stretching lol - Night practices always seem sleepy but lately i have not had the drive to get stretching done in the mornings. Better luck tomorrow? Maybe i will hit the hot springs in the morning :P
Day 48- Just added the photos from last nights stretch sesh, and i felt really great about where my splits were. Felt like especially my left/ injured side is actually improving/ some of those deep tensions are starting to release. Pillow splits is my new favorite thing, and probably the first time i have been really able to relax fully in my splits (having that support beneath gives me something i can ground into). Feeling really good about the progress i have made, and really excited about finishing the challenge ! Looking forward to continuing my training even after the challenge has ended, and participating in the next backbend challenge as well :) HAPPY FRIDAY !
Day 49... updated :) Feeling pretty decent tonight, a bit sore in the hips from work, but i will live :) Only spent about an hour tonight because i am tired
Day 50- Rest Day #11 - came home after work, and once i started cuddling with the handsome mister man, i could not bring myself to leave his arms for the stretchies. Days off are coming up !! YAY !
