Day 83 completing the #fitnesschallenge by @steemmatt! Get your blood pumping, don't just sit there and blog. Lately I do my exercises while watching my favorite TV shows. Try it!

I was up well into the morning today and I didn't get to sleep til about 8 or 10 am. Unfortunately, I had to get up shortly thereafter for my daughter. Luckily it was a slow day and my wife came home early so I could happily go back to sleep. After a decent 6 hours, I got up to noise (as usual) and started my workout right away. I'd say I've been dragging the last few days. It's been 21 days of working out every day and while I don't feel I need a skip day, I feel a bit tired but I think that's just due to my crazy schedule.

  • Longest streak: 22 days
  • Last Streak: 13 days
  • Current Streak: 21 days
  • Skipped Days: 9

The Challenge:

At least 100 honest reps of exercise every day. No excuses. No bullsh*t. Just actions, positivity, and results. Only post AFTER your reps are done. Always support each other. (Currently on Pause, find out why with a much needed decision to pause the challenge for a few days.

Find a challenge post here with the old rules and conditions so you can get warmed up and ready for participation for when the new guidelines are released.

In the mean time

I also want to tell you about the #50squatchallenge and the #50pushupchallenge by @notorious562! 50 easy squats and pushups every day! I'm doing 50 squats daily now so I've decided to participate in that as well. So this is also my completion of both!

My Daily Challenge Completed.

Today I went with 150 reps and added some situps. I believe this is my trying to start my 2700 reps in 9 days challenge. Hopefully tomorrow I can add 50 leg raises. After that, it'll be squats, pushups and legraises til I get to a 500 rep day, adding 50 reps each day. I still can't stand doing pushups, and as usual, it's a lot more tedious doing the first 25 reps then it is doing the rest. I was bale to do 25 situps straight, but I feel one of these days I should test my maximum for all three.

50 AIr Squats

  • 15 reps, 10 reps
  • 15 reps, 10 reps

50 Pushups

  • 15 reps, 10 reps
  • 15 reps, 10 reps

50 Situps

  • 25 reps
  • 15 reps, 10 reps

Total rep count: 100

Yesterday's Reps

Squats & Pushups - 100

Cumulative Tally

17,350 Reps

Meals

Since I was up this morning, I had to eat before I laid down so I had breakfast. Nothing fancy, just a plain bagel with cream cheese and strawberry jelly as well as two waffles with cream cheese and syrup. I don't know about you, but cream cheese and syrup on a bagel is delicious. It always gives me one of those "Got Milk?" moments.

Dinner was hamburger helper again. I've said I don't really like hamburger helper but this serving was exceptional.

My Motivation

Replacing my smoking habit with exercise! I am now going on 17 full days without cigarettes and I think I'm able to keep on going without them! There's really not much to say other than woohoo! I hope to make tomorrow 18 days, and so on! I have to admit that my lungs feel great again and I am also getting my sense of smell back.

When I joined Steemit I made the decision to always Power-Up my earnings. For now, payouts are set to 50/50 but you bet I will convert & Power Up! Besides internal transfers, I have never cashed out and don't plan on it! Power-Up only!

Cream cheese on bagel is nice, haven't tried it with syrup, though. Keep up the great work with your fitness challenge. I admire people who work out cuz I want to, but sometimes too lazy.

Thanks for the support much appreciated! If you like cream cheese and you like waffles, then I think you'll like'em together! I am on the lazy side myself, so it wasn't easy for me to start!

I think it's the starting that's hardest, once you get into a routine it becomes easier or at least slightly easier.

Yeah that's 100% true. Even when I skip just one day it's hard to start back up the next day. I'm also self conscious about working out. I don't know why, but I have to do it privately. I hate when someone knows. When I jog, I do it at night. I'm talking 3 am. Take the dark roads, not the lit sidewalks.

I get what you mean about being self conscious. I'm like that, haha, which is why I rarely jog.

It is a great motivation to replace the cigarette with a good exercise for health, many success for you @bitfiend.

Thank you I appreciate it!
