Assalamu alaikum,
I send good wishes to all the readers here.
The month of Ramazan will end soon. We are already at the end of second Ashara and this is the last night of this Ashara. As soon as the Azan for fajr will be given the third and last and the most important Ashara will start.
The Ashara that even has the night of laylatul qadr. Anyways, i will be talking about that when the third Ashara begins for now i am here to talk about fitra.
Fitra is a type of charity ( sadaqa ) that is wajib ( something that is mandatory ) on every male and female irrespective of whether they are minor or adult.
The fitra can be given using four things. These include dates, Raisins, barley, or,wheat. Now mufti sahab in below video has explained very well how to give fitra.
If you wan't to give fitra via wheat then either give 1.75 kg of wheat or money equivalent to it to the poor people. If you want to give fitra in remaining three things then 3.5 kg of the same or equivalent money in that.
We should give fitra in the month on Ramazan itself. Before eid so that the people who get the food/money can spend that on themself and celebrate eid in a better way.
You can also pay the fitra on the day of eid but you should pay fitra as soon as possible. Insha Allah we will give fitra before Eid so that poor people can celebrate eid.
PS :
A serious matter in current time is that current generation is not learning about these important things. They don't even know what is fitra and what should be given to whom.
I have seen people leaving roza for lame reasons. It hurts to see how people have get involved in this world so much that they have forget about the important things of their religion.
And believe me it is not the case with Islam but with every other religion as well. They don't know about their religion and thats why they can be misguided by anyone in the name of religion.
We should not leave our religious teaching behind and we should implement them in our life as that will only improve the way we live life.
That is all for this blog, thank you for reading till the end.
