Sure, scientists like Alfred Wegener were called "insane" before their work was credited. But taking the trusted consensus of humanity's insurmountable studies is very ignorant and you should hold yourself to a higher standard when attempting to discredit people who devoted their lives creating the technology that allows you to do what you do today.

Take some of that creative ability and will power to crack open an intro to physics, an intro to chemistry, heck maybe even take a gander into microbiology. Trust me, these books are not written to convince you, they are written for you to make your own observations and back them with reason.
