Some amazing 16th century flintlock rifles that shoot multiple times before reloading!

You have got to come play, LOL! We will do a black powder day! :) I have about 100 pounds of lead shot, in 25 pound sacks. I go to the metal recyclers, and buy wheel weights for bullet castings. The antimony in them makes a hard casting. Not to expensive either, there is about 200 pounds of wheel weights under the reloading bench. :)

wow ingenious! what is antimony? kinda like alimony? lol

A metal alloyed with lead to make it harder. Wheel weights have the perfect mix. Some tire shops give the weights away free. :)

very savvy smithlabs! momma didn't raise no dummy!

Sure makes nice bullets! I lube them with Alox lube, and run them through a sizing die. Make about a thousand at a time. 190 grain, it gets me a little more velovity (1100FPS) with a hot powder load. :P

a thousand at a time? don't you know that's impossible? one at a time?
me no savvy..I'm just gonna have to come up there and see it for myself. ya know, alot of people on steemit are trying to think of something to write about and you have like a hundred years worth of topics just from what you're doing everyday! it ain't hardly fair(thats a snowflake phrase ain't it?)

I do six at a time, but it still takes a while, LOL! :) I set them on a towel, and make some 38 in a single up mold, to allow the big mold time to cool. Goes pretty quickly. Fun to shoot a bullet that you made! :)

Lookong into gas checks, to allow me to cast some high velocity rifle rounds. Maybe in 6.5 mm

yeah and this is also in preparation in case it's needed in the future?

Yes, in a grid down situation, copper jacketed bullet points will eventually run out. I can copper plate some lead, but gas check reloads would be easier.

The cast bullets would obviously become the primary use firearm, because it is renewable, during grid down schenarios.
