Hey all...
Just got back online after a week of Hurricane Irma. We are alive.
The streets turned into 4 foot rivers. Trees went down.
We were stranded as we don't have a 4x4 truck.
Ran out of food on Sunday.
Have no gas. So we just have to be patient.
Roadside assistance told us that a gallon of gas goes for $60 to $70 a gallon.
It could have been worse.
There are things I will do to prepare better the next time.
If you ever find yourself moving down to Florida, Make sure you have this:
- a generator ( I sold my brand new one in June, go figure)
- A BBQ grill ( if you want to eat)
- A 4x4 (because although there are no mountains to climb here, you need one to get out of where you are stuck.)
Here is some pics and video of the street....
Tree fell onto a villa...
CHICHI set up in the bathroom....
If anyone can help,I would so appreciate it.
Need some funds for food and water.
Also for some gas,as I just paid all the bills 2 days before Irma showed up.
Thanks!
Glad to be alive !
Susan
