Here you are again in my garden, today I want to introduce you to another resident.
We meet - Clematis Purpurea Plena Elegans (Purpurea Plena Elegans).
This is one of my favorite kremikov - for his not capriciousness, he is more resistant to frost, one of the last that appeared in my garden.
Variety from the group Viticella (strong pruning), briefly I will tell about its characteristics.
One of the old varieties since 1899, the flowers are not large, terry - a bard color, somewhere cm 4-7, can reach a height of 3-4 meters. Flowering begins in June on the escapes of the current year and as the lavers grow, the abundance of flowering increases and ends in September.
It is not whimsical, but it is better to plant it on the sunny side protected from the winds, in heavy soils drainage is required, to retain moisture at the roots, we mulch a layer of 3-5 cm, do not forget, of course, fertilization.
Due to the fact that it grows rapidly and it has a large number of buds, a reliable support is required.
In autumn, I do a strong pruning for 10 cm, although it is possible to leave 40 cm - it belongs to group 3, for winter I make easy shelter - climatic zone 4-9.
It is a very beautiful vine, with a lot of simultaneously blossoming buds.
Well suited for planting in pergolas, arbors, walls of houses, you can create a hedge on the frame, and also use as a ground cover.
Sincerely, Feyacvetov.
