When I'm feeling down, ~sometimes~ I shop online.
~sometimes~ I spend $200+ dollars on one silk dress from Anthropologie that I DO NOT need in order for it to sit in my closet for 18 months or so until one of my sisters asks to borrow it to go to some far-away event and I say "yes".
~sometimes~ I buy dresses and I fall madly in love with them and they make me feel happy again and every cent was worth it.
but today, I did not want to scroll through pages of over-priced, poorly manufactured, silk potato sacks (this is somehow my style preference of dresses when shopping online sad).
Today, I didn't want to do that, but I also really really wanted to buy ~something~ beautiful for myself. A gift to bring me happiness!
So... instead of buying a flower-print dress, I bought flowers!! -- future flowers, actually: 100 tulip bulbs from the Keukenhof in Holland, where I spent my most recent birthday and where I know I feel happy.
So, in October, just in time to plant the bulbs, they'll arrive 🌷💜🌷💜🌷💜🌷💜🌷💜
photos from my birthday! ^^
can't wait until my back yard looks like this 😍
yay!
