The steemgigs discord talk for June 3, 2018 was the first I successfully attended. I have been planning to attain this talk for the past 7 weeks but I just kept missing it for reasons I couldn't comprehend. What could have been the reason?

Time discrepancies

The talk holds every Saturday by 12 Midnight Manila time. I failed to realize that Manila operates on GMT +8 while Nigeria where I am, operates on GMT+1. So all these weeks, I have been waiting for 12 Midnight Nigerian time, which in reality is about 7 hours after the talk. Little did I know that the talk is at 5pm taking Nigerian time into consideration.

Well, I'm glad that I finally realized this, therefore successfully being part of the talk for the first time.

It was so interesting and I was glad I didn't miss it this time. @surpassinggoogle talked about so many things.

-He emphasized the need for us not to chase money on Steemit. We should rather chase quality and allow money to follow us.

- He encouraged us to subscribe to his youtube channel and check it regularly to have an indent knowledge of certain things on Steemit which he will discuss via videos.

- He talked about DASH

-He said that Steemit is organic and helped us understand how long Steemit has come.

- He talked specifically about the new development in the internet space which you can now search for something on google and you'll also see a link directing you to a steemit lost which somenone made about that thing e.g I-phone.

I learnt a lot and I particularly enjoyed the interactive session where many participants were allowed to speak. He also offered to open free account for new Steemians with a delegation from the steemgigs account.

Never be struck of balance by FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) because this can snowball into MO (Missing Out)
