Kharkol or Ghatkol pata bata || Wild Arum Paste || Vegetarian recipe || Bengali Village Food

Many of you might not have heard of this name before as it is typically found and eaten in rural parts of Bengal. You can consider it to be one of the “lost recipes”.During monsoon it can be found in your local markets as well.It comes in bunch just like other ‘shaaks’.As it is a rare and local leafy veggie,I couldn’t find it’s English name. You should give it a try:i’m sure you are going to ask for more.

Ingredients for Kharkol pata/Ghatkol pata bata:

Ghatkol bata - one bunch
Salt - as per taste
Mustard oil - 1 tbsp
Green chilli - 4 pieces
Dry red chilli - 1 piece
Nigella seed - 1 tsp
Garlic - 7-8 pods
Coconut - 50 gm
