Abow on.. Food Memories

In your life there are one or two memorable foods that stick in your mind. Here is one of my mine with the tale that goes with it. Curious what others have.
Started working in bakery at 14. Up early, leave late. By the time lunch came around, I was tired, sore and starving for something non-sweet.
My boss would have me pick up a few pounds of ground chuck. As I made the meat into patties, gently pulling off pieces to size, I would create a small meatball of meat. Worcestershire sauce and a dash of salt and pepper, combined together in one of those old aluminum industrial shakers were the only ingrediants. ( Generously applied and to my meatball as well) A cookie sheet with parchment was their resting bed..all except my meatball, which promptly got divoured raw, before my boss noticed. A beautiful tartar of excellence. Note that this was back when the meat was super fresh and a wonderful pink cast throughout. Into the large oven it would go. I anticipated every turn it would make on the eight (maybe ten) foot shelf it was on. There were no timers in baking, it was simply done when it was done, just like everything else we baked. Riding shotgun were the rye rolls that would complete the combination. Fresh out of the oven there was no better lunch in my opinion! Garnished with only ketchup and mustard. As soon as you were finished it was back to work, but it got you through the rest of the day! I still make one on occasion but it will never be the same without the rest of the story included! What is your fondest food memory?
Abow..out.

btw.. same lunch for almost four years... every day though I never minded. I quit the bakery when I found out there was a McRestaurant up the street that had something called minimum wage and I could make more money. I think I started at like $3.85 per hour and minimum wage was substantially more and much les work.
