Soup of the day. Onion and whole grain mustard.

The wife isn't very well, she has a bad cold so this afternoon I decided to make her a soup.

This is a very easy soup to make and you can add to the ingredients very easily.
All you need is a couple of onions, a knob of butter, some whole grain mustard and a stock cube.

Rough chop the onions and put them into a pan with the butter and a couple of spoons of mustard and heat it all up until the onions go soft.
If I was making this for myself I'd add an equal amount of English mustard and some chilli flakes but the wife doesn't like hot and spicy food.

Once the onions have softened just add the stock and reduce the heat to simmer for 5 or so minutes.

Then just serve it up and enjoy.

It's very easy and only takes about 10 minutes to make.
