Hello Steemians! Today I am going to show you how to prepare a Spanish Tortilla.

In Spain they call it “Tortilla de Patatas” (Potato Tortilla) to distinguish it from a plain (French) omelette. For the rest of us is either “Spanish Tortilla” or “Spanish Omelette”, both imply the use of potatoes.

Peel all the potatoes then cut then in very thin slices. Put them in water and set aside.
Cut the onions and bell peppers julienne style. Peel the Spanish chorizo (pork sausage) and cut in slices.
Sauté the chorizo together with the onion and bell peppers in a pan that later will be used to elaborate our tortilla.

Fry the potatoes using sunflower oil and remove the excess of oil using absorbent paper. If you want your fry potatoes to feel crunchy, you must salt them right after frying them.

Break 6 eggs and beat them, mixing with a bit of salt and pepper.

Mix altogether and put the pan on hot heat. Put the mix and wait for about 5 minutes, then turn it around.

Holy guacamole, I've gotta print this one and give it a whirl.
You had me at Chorizo. The pairing with a glass of red wine was a nice touch.

Nice Tortilla de Patata, it looks very tasty. The original Tortilla de Patata only has potatoes and eggs. The other ingredients are optional.
