CHOCOLATE & CHILLY CHEESECAKE RECIPE

Chocolate and chilli cheesecake is the best one I have created.

Chili and Chocolate are the match made in heaven.

Wow your friends with this rich and sumptuous Chilli Chocolate Cake.

The heat from the chilli provides an irresistible warmth to the chocolate layer.

Putting this cake together has been a labour of love.

It’s been through a load of variations and this one is pretty much perfect – which makes it special enough for any occasion.

Customise the cake to suit tastes – add more chilli if you like more heat.

Go for the chocolate ganache and whipped frosting for a sophisticated taste and finish.

This chocolate cake is unbelievably easy to make.

Ingredients

For the base

35-40 chocolate biscuits

80 gr of unsalted butter

For the cheesecake layer

250 gr of Cottage cheese or cream cheese full fat

1 tin (400 ml) - Condensed milk

2-4 tbsp of chilli oil ( you can add more)

200 ml of double/ heavy / fresh cream

300 gr of dark chocolate

1 tsp of instant coffee powder ( optional)

1 tsp of cinnamon 1 tsp of vanilla extract

2 gelatine leaves or 2 tbsp of gelatine powder (soaked in water)

Pinch of salt Decorations ( optional)

Chocolate ganache

Whipped cream

Red Chillies

Directions

Step 1 : Butter the bottom and sides of an 8 inch springform pan. If you don't have a springform pan, use your normal cake pan or a tart pan. Line the regular cake pan with a clingfilm or aluminium foil. Line the bottom and sides together without cutting the clingfilm so that you can easily lift the cheesecake out when it's set.

Step 2 : In a large bowl, add your chocolate and coffee and mix everything, melt over the double boiler or microwave in short 30 second breaks and set aside.

Step 3 : Add the gelatin to half cup of water and leave it to bloom.

Step 4 : Crush your biscuits in a food processor until fine powder, then add butter and add into your pan. Transfer this biscuit mixture to the base of the pan and press well. Refrigerate for a bit.

Step 5 : Make the cheesecake. Into your blender add condensed milk, cottage cheese, cinnamon, vanilla extract and chilli oil. Blend everything until smooth.

Step 6 : Add gelatine to your chocolate and mix lightly and then add straight away to your blender. Blend everything together till it's smooth and creamy.

Step 7 : Transfer to a bowl.Add your whipper cream and mix until sooth and creamy.

Step 8 : Pour the chocolate mixture over the biscuit base layer and refrigerate until its set completely until set. Tap once to remove the air bubbles.

Step 9 : Remove the springform pan slowly and decorate as you wish.

Looks great I wouldn't mine eating that for desert.

MMM that chili adds some nice heat :)

Oh my, some of my favorite things to eat, chili, cheesecake and chocolate all in one recipe. The color contrast of that red is beautiful too. I love how you put that Jalapeno and chocolate squares in the background too to add some green to the picture. I am trying to take my time with pictures too instead of stuffing my face as soon as the recipe is done and rushing through the pictures and presentation lol. I always had that problem growing up as a cook, never cared about presentation because I was so eager to eat my food. I would even make sushi rolls and never slice them but eat them as a wrap or burrito. I still have not been able to successfully plate a sushi roll. I am going to try again soon though. I am older and more disciplined around food. #fatkidproblems

thank you sweetie im trying to use different backgrounds to make my pic look better still learning!! :))) you are lovely!!

I love contrast of Colors, i think it just so much more eye catching like with adding that green in the back to come in with the other colors. Looks amazing.

evil delicious :D

hahahah :P

Alla, you had me at Chocolate but with the Chiili hit you've taken it to a new level!!! Great work xxx

thank you :) its not so usual for me either so its a new twist ;) xx

Your food looks amazing. Sadly I will mess this up even with a recipe, but thanks for sharing.

no you wouldn't! its really easy recipe ;)))

Is that chilly for real ? Is it hot?? Wonder how it would taste with cake!!

yes its for real :P hahah it was an experiment and it worked!!

Hum really this cake looks delicious.

I tried something similar to this once before. I microwaved it and ended up burning the thing. It looked all shriveled up. I tried again and it was just soggy and just seemed unfinished.... Do you have any tips for me? :/

hahah no way!! you have to do it slowly in 30 second breaks :D

I tried that last time. It just sticks to the bottom and gets burnt :/

Can you suggest what type of oil to use on the tray? I'm a little picky when it comes to oil so I used extra virgin olive oil. Is that not a good idea?

prob not! best to use butter!

Wow! Looks so good I'll have to try it. Thanks!

That looks delicious. I am not sure about the chili though. I like them but they don't like me back. I get recipe posts on my FB feed too. Between FB and Steemit I am never lacking food temptations.

hahah seducing you from all angles ;P you know i wasn't sure either but it works!!

looks really nice :D

Looks Great! you should try adding tofu next time, they say it gives the cheese cake a more silky texture :)

oooh what really? sounds interesting!!!

Yeah, I saw that in Masterchef Australia :)

Oh this sounds yummy. It's like a twist to Mexican Hot Chocolate. :)

hehe yeah it was actually really good!! not too hot or spicy!!!

Are the peppers that garnish the cake raw?

yep they are raw! i used them more for decoration unless you are feeling brave :P

hahaha. is that a dare?

Looks and inner tastes epic!

I Bet that
Living with you inside the house is like living the Dream
Sweetness everywhere

Wow! What a combination. You have such unique food ideas and recipes. I'm saving this one for a treat for my hubby. He loves spicy.

heheh oo lovely ;)) enjoy!!

Fab recipe. I'm on a ketogenic diet so can't eat it myself, but my daughter will love it! 😀
I may just have to have a binge day. 😋

hhe thanks so much!! i need to get on that diet! i heard good things!!

It really is a great diet. I have been in 24/7 pain for years. When I started the diet and cut out carbs certain areas of pain abated. Also, my skin improved, I am no longer tired and sluggish.
I have on occasion had a cake or something sweet, or even bread and I became bloated and just didn't feel good.
It's hard, especially at the beginning of the diet...one just feels hungry because the aim is to stick to a certain calorie count. But it does get better, and weight drops off and adjusts. I would definitely recommend the diet. I eat only healthy food.

yeah i try and just eat healthy as much as i can!

I was impressed... before I emigrated from my country, the last business I was dealing with was a cheesecake factory. I offered over 30 kinds of raw and baked cheesecakes, but for the first time I see a cheesecake with chilly. That pleasantly surprised me.

Thanks :)

yeahh its a different twist and boy they have a lot of variations!!!

Even though i love chili I never thought chili with chocolate could go together, until i tried a simple supermarket chocolate with chili and cherries. It blow me away and i'm a regular buyer now!

Even for those who are not a chili fan and are afraid of chili burn. The funny thing is that capsaicin - the chemical that we feel as burn/pain - is solvable in fat. That means that it blends with chocolate and cheese fat so you don't feel it as much as you would if you try it alone. But the flavor of the chili stays and makes a difference.

ooh really no way? i was never sure of it either untill i tried this :))) i dont eat chilly but it really works with chocolate :))

Looks so delicious

This looks amazing, I can't wait to try it!!

___ THis is a dream!

It looks very delicious! Not sure if my stomach will handle the chili... but what the hell! I would love to try this!

I agree - chilli and chocolate are made for each other! I think @allasyummyfood that you have created the most beautiful cheesecake I've ever seen - it's perfect!

thank you so much :))) xx

Two of my favourite things chili and cheescake

Wow really good photos!
I love spice/chillie with my chocolate or other sweets. I am a huge fan of flavor contrast!
A very nice post. Thanks for sharing, wish I had a piece of that cake though....

This looks amazing. Some of my all-time faves rolled into one! I love it when recipes have great photos - makes reading them a visual experience. Following :)

Yum, can I put in an order for delivery? :)

Yup this is so totally gonna be my dessert tonight! Very interesting choice to include the chili on top instead of the obligatory cherry on top - I think that gives your cheesecake that extra pizzaz in flavor. I can't express enough how amazing it is that you create several unique recipes every day of the week - WOW my hat's always off to you Chef!

hahhah yeah its only for the brave ones to eat the chilly! :P

I like to think I'm pretty brave, even though I tend to run like the wind whenever I hear a crunching sound in the woods. Chili with chocolate is actually a very delicious and very tasty combination - not as spicy when the capsaicin wears off thanks to the cheese and thus very yummy. More chili cake please! ;)

What a masterpiece, I love it! 😍 😍 😍
Chocolate combined with chili is heaven for me - and hell for my boyfriend ha ha. It's funny how in countries like Mexico this is a very typical combination and kids are used to lollipops with chili flavor etc. But in Germany for example people can't imagine to eat chocolate with chili. This shows that taste is a habit and can be trained culturally. Looking forward to more culinary adventures 🌍💚

hahah tbh i could never imagine it either, so i didnt add too much :)) but its a good combo!!

My two favorite things chocolate and heat, this isheaven! What a creative recipe, great job. Your post are very informative, I love photography and i can tell you put alot of time into your post!

heheh thanks a lot! i do :))

que delicia, el chocolate es demasiado bueno, y tu si que sabes hacer de el el mejor postre.

That looks amazing. I am a big fan of chilli chocolate stuff.

what do you think of adding some mint to that?
i guess mint goes well with chocolate and chilli, but must try them together.

chili and cheesecake is very interesting combination :)

mmmmmmh delicia chocolate :)
