Ingredients.
Meatball.
- 300 grams of minced pork.
- 1 teaspoon sugar.
- 1 teaspoon black pepper.
- 1/2 tablespoons salt.
- 1 shallots (finely chopped).
- 3 cloves of garlic (finely chopped).
- 1/2 onion (finely chopped).
Meatball sauce.
- 3 tomatoes.
- 3 cups of water.
- 1/2 onion (diced).
- 2 tablespoons Asian fish sauce.
- 1 shallots (finely chopped).
- 3 cloves of garlic (finely chopped).
- 1 tablespoon sugar.
- 1 tablespoon salt.
- 2 tablespoons tapioca starch + 2 tablespoons of water, mixed well.
Salad
- 1/2 carrot (thinly sliced).
- 1/2 onion (thinly sliced).
- 3 tablespoons of sugar.
- 2 tablespoons of vinegar.
Instructions.
- Prepare salad: Mix well carrot, onion, sugar and vinegar in a bowl at least 1 hours. Set aside.
- Meanwhile, making meatball: In a large bowl, combine pork, sugar, black pepper, salt, half of shallot and half of garlic. Mix it well. Form the meat into balls. Place meat balls into the tray and steam for about 10 minutes.
- Prepare tomatoes: Cut each tomato in half. Finely chop the tomatoes and set it aside.
- Making sauce: Heat oil in a deep pan, add onion, garlic, shallot, stir fry well till fragrant. Add tomatoes, water, juice released from meatballs, salt, sugar and fish sauce. Bring to a boil for about 5 minutes. Add tapioca starch and stir well till sauce thicken. Then add meatball, simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Granish with coriander, serve with bread, coriander and salad.
