Spicy dipping sauce for fried mackerel recipe.

Ingredients.

  • 400 grams of mackerel.
  • 4 tablespoons fish sauce.
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lime juice.
  • 4 teaspoons sugar.
  • 3 teaspoon paprika powder.
  • Chilli (minced).
  • 5 cloves garlic (finely chopped).
  • Mint (thinly sliced).

Instructions.

  • In a large bowl, add the mackerel, 1 teaspoon salt and 2 cups of cool water. Soak for 15 minutes just clean it. Rinse and put it into basket to drain.
  • Heat vegetable oil in the pan, add the mackerel, fry on the both side until golden. Put it into a dish.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the spice dipping sauce:
  • In the bowl, combine fish sauce with sugar, fresh lime juice, paprika powder, garlic, chilli and mix well. Final step is add sliced mint. Add fresh lime juice and sugar to taste. Ganish with fresh lime (cut into small pieces).
  • Serve with cooked rice.

Hi! Nice recipe! I've never been good at cooking fish. I think it was more than two years ago when I cooked fish by myself last time. Do you think this recipe is not difficult for beginner? I wanted to try. It sounds very tasty and exotic!
