Ingredients.
- 400 grams of markerel.
- 2 shallots (finely chopped).
- 1 onion (cut into wedges).
- 2 wood ear mushrooms.
- Laska leaves.
- Salt, sugar, black pepper, fish sauce.
Instructions.
- Drain and rinse the markerel fish.
- Marinade fish with shallot, salt, sugar, black pepper and fish sauce for about 15 minutes for soak up.
- Put mushrooms in a bowl and cover with hot water for about 15 minutes. Drain and rinse mushrooms, trim off any hard part of mushrooms. Then cut it into 1 inch.
- After 15 minutes, steam fish with mushrooms, onion and laska leaves for about 20 minutes or until cooked.
- Prepare the dipping sauce: mix well salt, sugar, black pepper, chilli (optional), fresh lime juice and green mustard paste (optional).
- Serve hot with dipping sauce.
