Homemade Creamy Pudding Frosting

In my opinion frosting makes or brakes the cake

I make my own homemade pudding frosting for the cakes I bake.
As I promised you earlier in my previous post with delicious birthday cake today, I'm posting this frosting recipe

This frosting is so smooth and creamy,

and most of all FRESH, not like the store bought one.

Ingrediants:
2 yolks
250ml milk
100g sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 1/4 tbs potatoes or tapioca starch
250g butter

Directions:

125ml of milk bring to a boil and add sugar.
The other 125ml of milk whisk with yolks, vanilla extract and starch.
Pour the cold milk mixture into the boiling on low milk mixture.
Whisk it vigorously until nice and smooth and no lumps.
Continue cooking on low heat for about 1 minute until the pudding becomes thick

Remove the pot from heat and immediately cove it.
Leave it until completely cools off.

Next, beat the butter until fluffy and light in colour
Add one spoon at a time of pudding to the butter mixing after each

DO NOT over-mix it!!
When you see the frosting looking all shiny and puffy
It ready!!

Now you have homemade frosting
For your baked goods

Once you make this one, it will be hard to go back to your other one

Honestly, I was not hungry before this - now I am barely staying conscious from my intense desire to cook and consume this!!!

Oooh yum! I agree that the frosting can make or break the cake! Sometimes it can even hold the cake together! I just whipped up a batch of frosting tonight too! Great minds think alike :)
