Today I would like to share a family favorite that gets a lot of requests. I love to cook and bake and make all kinds of yummy truffles. Like raspberry cream, German chocolate, white chocolate, carrot cake, red velvet and so much more. Today I am sharing my cookies n cream truffles, a personal favorite of mine.
Ingredients:
1 package Oreo cookies
1 package Cream cheese- room temperature
Cookie sheet
Parchment paper
Mixer
White chocolate-enough to dip truffles
Medium melon ball scoop/small ice cream scoop
Milk chocolate- chips
Mixing bowl
Double boiler
- Line your cookie sheet with parchment paper
- Crumble up the Oreo cookies, either by hand or food processor
- Put cookie mixture into mixing bowl
- Add cream cheese
- Mix with your mixer until mixed well
Consistency should be thick enough to roll into a ball - Use melon ball scoop or small ice cream scoop to scoop out the truffles mixture
- Roll each scoop into a ball and place on your cookie sheet
- Put cookie sheet in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set up
- Melt your white chocolate in a double boiler, do not overheat
- When the truffles have set up, remove from refrigerator and dip each truffle ball into the melted white chocolate then return each one to your cookie sheet
- Put back in refrigerator for 10 minutes then remove
- Melt your milk chocolate in a double boiler, you won't need much of this chocolate since it will be used for decorating
Last thing is to have fun decorating with the milk chocolate
You can get creative with your cake decorating tools to create swirls, dots, add sprinkles
or whatever you like.
Easy way to dip each truffle is to use a fork to lift them into the melted chocolate and gently tap off excess.
Just make sure the melted chocolate is cooled slightly.
Hope you enjoy as much as my family does.
Foods you eat are always look delicious :) @beccadeals
