Hey guys I know that it's been way too long since I have posted and I'm sorry, but today I am back on here with a taste test. I had found this vanilla coffee syrup recipe on https://www.telegraph.co.uk/foodanddrink/foodanddrinkadvice/11596578/Homemade-coffee-syrups-how-to-create-a-coffee-shop-quality-brew.html and had to try it. I had to convert the measurements from metric to US, but I had combined 1cup of sugar, 1 cup of water, and 1/2 tsp of vanilla syrup and mixed well, then only shook up my bottle occasionally over a 45 min span of time, then I put it in the fridge for storage, the website says that it's good for a few months. You could also heat this syrup if you wanted to help prolong the shelf life since this would kill off any bacteria, but only heat it just until the sugar is completely dissolved into the syrup, then remove from the heat and cool before putting it into the fridge for storage.
Some pictures of me enjoying the syrup in some coffee.
