Spaghetti with mussels

Hello!

Today we will prepare a simple but very tasty dish.

Spaghetti with mussels

Difficulty: 3/10
Cooking time: 20 min.
Number of servings: 2-3

Ingredients:

Spaghetti with mussels

  • Spaghetti, 200 gr.
  • Mussels, 300 gr.
  • Cherry tomatoes, 150 gr.
  • Butter, 40 gr.
  • Garlic, 2 cloves
  • Parsley
  • Black pepper, salt, vegetable oil

Spaghetti boil in boiling salted water for 7-10 minutes (depends on your attitude to al-dente), throw in a colander, keeping the broth, sprinkle with vegetable oil, mix.

While the spaghetti is cooking, cut the tomatoes, finely chop the garlic and parsley.

Spaghetti with mussels

Heat a little vegetable oil in a pan and fry the mussels, tomatoes and garlic over high heat for 2 minutes.

Spaghetti with mussels

Add 20 ml of the broth from spaghetti, salt, pepper to taste, cook for a minute.

Spaghetti with mussels

Add 50 ml of broth from spaghetti, butter, stir and cook for two minutes.

Spaghetti with mussels

Add spaghetti, parsley, stir, remove from heat.

Spaghetti with mussels

Serve.

In Venezuela we are lovers of Italian food. Towards the 50s of the last century there was an important immigration of Italians to my country. Italian food came with them and some adaptations were made here. I live near the sea and near mussel banks. This recipe is magnificent and very similar to what my aunt does. I love mussels!! Thank you so much for the recipe. It looks really easy. And we just use the broth from the spaghetti? I must try! When the mussels are cooking, before adding the spaghetti, the broth turns orange because of the butter, is that correct? It looks like curry at that point.
