Yesterday was a big day for the Bluerthangreen Homestead!

It was @allforthegood 's and my 16 year anniversary!

I wanted to share with you, my fellow Steemians, the wonderful place that we chose to celebrate our anniversary at, just in case any of you get a chance to venture in my neck of the woods.

We had some dear friends of ours watch our 4 children as we sauntered our way to one of the Ozarks best kept secrets:

The Keeter Center!

We had been wanting to experience dining at this unique restaurant since before we packed up the truck and moved to Beverly. Hills, that is... Lead Hills...

When we took our maiden voyage to the Ozarks, almost 4 years ago now, we visited this campus on our way out of town. Let me tell you, we were impressed with how friendly and helpful the students were. Having gone to public college ourselves, we hadn't ever witnessed a campus that felt so loving and positively energetic. Looking back on it, The College of the Ozarks was definitely a part in the overall great impression we had of the area. No wonder we felt so led to move here.

Check out the following pictures that explain what the College of the Ozarks, and the Keeter Center is all about!

Now, onto the FOOD!

My choice? Bacon. Need I say more?

AllfortheGood's Choice? Salmon on salad. Always the healthy one.

Last, but not least, we received our just desserts!

Maple Cheesecake and Chocolate Lava Cake. Yummy, yummy, in our already satisfied tummies.

There is so much more to the Keeter Center than just fine dining.

They also have a coffee shop, a homemade ice cream shop, jams and jellies shop, hand-made crafts shop, a bakery and a hotel.

We'll have to make it a point to come back more often so we can experience all that this best kept secret has to offer.

So nice😄, check my channel and see my food posts🙏💘

I'll take the pan-seared salmon, please. @ironshield

Sounds and looks like you two had a really nice anniversary together! Desserts, yummm, always the best part.

Congratulations!

That pan fried prime rib sounds amazing! Them green beans look good too.

Wow, you guys are pretty close to our neck of the Ozarks! (We live in the most southeastern corner Of Christian Co, where it butts up with Taney and Douglas Co.) I've heard nothing but good things about this place! I'm not sure if they've 100% recovered from the floods of last year, but the Rockbridge Trout Farm is another best-kept secret. You can catch your own Trout and they'll cook it for you! Grade A service and dining experience. And congrats on 16 years! My wife and I just passed 5 ourselves!

5 years! The best is yet to come, trust me. I've never heard of Rockbridge Trout Farm, I'll definitely check it out. Thanks!

Yes they are. We've been through the ringer but came out stronger. A good marriage is all about that hard work, like homesteading! Ha! Rockbridge is off Highway 5, between Gainesville and Ava. It's a really nice drive to boot. (But honestly, anywhere out here is a nice drive!)

I drive that stretch of highway plenty of times this past summer. I'll look for it this Spring.

Interesting! Is it a long drive from where you live?

Only 40 minutes. Not far.

How nice!
You two look wonderful, and so does the food!
