Ingredients

5 tablespoons cornstarch 1/ 2 liter milk 2 egg yolks 1 teaspoon vanilla 100 grams sugar

Steps

  • First make the caramel: in a small casserole add the sugar with the water and simmer over low heat. Stir so that the sugar dissolves.

  • When you notice that the sugar has turned dark, remove the casserole and pour the candy into the mold you will use for the flan.

  • Now, make the flan: in a little milk dissolve the cornstarch. The rest of the milk make it boil in a pot.

  • Once the milk is ready, remove it from the heat and let it warm up for a few minutes.

  • Then, with a fork beat the yolks and incorporate them in the milk mixture with cornstarch.

  • With the help of a blender spoon, stir the mixture a minute. Then, add the warm milk and stir everything until a compact mass is formed.

  • Put the new preparation on the fire, and with a ladle do not stop stirring. Wait 5 minutes and turn off the fire.

  • Add the vanilla and stir the preparation

  • Finally, put the preparation in the mold with the caramel. Wait for a few minutes to cool down and refrigerate.

  • When you notice that the flan has taken consistency, you can serve it.
