Hey Steemites - back with another post during my lunch break. People really do love food and I am no exception, but I try and enjoy healthy options as well. My buddy works for the clubhouse of the Seattle Mariners and the food that pro baseball athletes eat on a daily basis is straight up bar food. Sure they have veggie trays and fruit bowls, but mostly it is stuff right off of a bar menu ie. burgers, fries, fried chicken, mozz sticks, chicken wings, pizza. The calorie content is large, but must be I guess for sustained physical activity. Even so, baseball players aren't exerting the type of energy that hockey, basketball or football players do, so you think more of them would be diet conscious. Then again, there are so many young guys and in their primes, won't be gaining that much weight due to that menu. If only we were all like that!
As for me today? Cantaloupe, salad and pretzels. Healthy when I can be, and enjoy fast food on occasion to satisfy those urges!
