Apple Crisp is an apple dessert, where the filling (apples) is at the
bottom, and the crusty crust (crumbly dough with oat and walnut) is on
top. Serve well with ice cream or whipped cream, although it's good
for just that - both warm and cold.
5 cups of thinly sliced apples
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 tablespoons water
0.5 cups of flour
0.5 glasses of oatmeal
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 pinch of salt
100 g of softened butter
1 cup of large chopped walnuts
Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
Mix apples with lemon juice and water in a shallow 2 liter baking dish.
In a large bowl, mix the flour, oats, sugar, nutmeg and salt. Stir
thoroughly. Rub the butter (with a fork or hands) until the mixture
looks like large crumbs. Add walnuts. Evenly scatter this mixture on
top of apples.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until the top is browned. Serve warm or at
room temperature.
picture looks much tasty, hope the real taste would be much better... :-)
