Holiday Cookies

A festive cookie, which can be decorated with glaze or colored
confectionery powders. Cookie shapes can be used in any subject and
size, or simply cut out simple cookie-circles with the edge of the
glass.

3 + 3/4 cups flour (500g)
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
225 grams of softened margarine or butter
1.5 cups of sugar (300 g)
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract or vanilla sugar

Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, beat
the softened margarine and sugar, to a light, fluffy consistency. Eat
eggs one at a time, then add vanilla. Gradually mix the sifted
ingredients until a homogenous dough is obtained. Remove the dough
into the refrigerator for 2 hours.

Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Grease the baking tray with oil or cover
with baking paper. The table is sprinkled with flour and rolled small
portions of the cooled dough to a thickness of 5 mm. Cut the dough
into molds.

Stove for 6-8 minutes in a preheated oven. Remove when the cookie
still seems pale. If the edges become too brown, the cookie will be
hard when it cools down. I like it soft and slightly friable. Remove
from the baking tray after 2-3 minutes, not immediately, and put on
grilles to completely cool and hardened.

To decorate you need only a completely cooled cookie.
