Although we watch it on commercials and read about it everywhere, eating healthy is not easy for everyone, but I think it may be because vegetables and salads aren't as appealing to the stomach as a juicy burger or burrito.

However, it is a matter of perception, there are many ways to prepare a burger or a burrito that are not only healthy but freaking delicious!!!

Today I wanted to share a healthy and drop dead easy dinner:

Steaks With Integral Rice, Quinoa and Asparagus

Simply grab a couple meat steaks and asparagus, cook them for about 8 minutes on a grill and add pre-cooked rice with quinoa. Believe me, it tastes amazing, it's cheap and it's ready in no more than 10 minutes. Have a look at this:

Yeah Quinoa and Asparagus are very healthy.

Having a balanced diet is important, great post!

i agree. Having a balanced diet is extremely important.

Thank you very much, indeed that is the most important aspect, to be balanced with what you eat, there is no need for not eating delicious food while being healthy.

That looks frickin' good.

It tasted amazing!! It's incredible how something that simple could beat more elaborated food. :) thanks for your comment!!

Nice. I spent a long time trying out various diet and tricks, but from what I've learned, there's a lot of wisdom in the simple mantra of "everything in moderation". Additionally, trying to eat a variety of non-processed foods will be really all you need to have a healthy diet.

There's truth in the calories in/calories out mathematical perspective of health, but it's hard to have the willpower to not overdo it if you are trying to fit a 600 calorie cheesecake or 1100 calorie deep fried meal into every day's nutrition. Eating nutrient-dense food will fill you up and you'll lose cravings and neurotic snacking habits naturally. To get there, focus not on the goal weight/fat loss/etc, but the idea of getting into sustainable habits that you know you can keep up indefinitely.

Thanks so much for your comment, I'm learning to eat better and control the cravings for fast food. I've come to realize how important is to construct habits in the body, but as long as you eat balanced, calories count it's not necessary, little by little your body starts telling you when you are going out of line and when are you truly full.

does McDonalds have this now....? (smile)

I wish!!! Hahaha thanks for your comment!!
