I am so excited to share with you guys the beginning of my juicer owning experiences! My mother got me a juicer for my birthday that just passed, October 26th, as well as these cute glass bottles with sleeves to keep them cool. I love all kinds of vegetables ever since I was a child, so I'm down with the green, earthy taste.
Juice recipe:
1 head, 2 stalks - Broccoli
4 individual stalks - celery
2 small beets
1.5 inch ginger
1 zucchini
about 13 thin asparagus
1 apple
3 oz of blueberries
1 banana
1/2 a bag of kale
= filled 3 glass bottles seen in the last photo
I feel that the nutrients from these gifts of Mother Earth are helping bring my internal system back to homeostasis. I ate half a pizza last night with @stevenalexander so this is definitely a good go to today ! I can't wait for this world of juicing to explore my palate ! Nom Nom, Healthy Yums !
The clean up wasn't that bad, I would also suggest running the scraps a few times, you'll be surprised at how much extra juice you can get by running it extra. Also something I didn't do the first time was clean the inside of the top of the juicer, there were a lot of fresh juicy scraps that were hiding!
