#102 An Avocado A Day

Avocados

Avocados have so much benefits that even avocado lovers have no idea of.

Avocados are rich in monounsaturated fat and Vitamin E
which helps in building healthy skin and can be added to many meals.
An avocado a day helps to improve your overall health, boosting immune system.

An avocado is a nutrient-bomb
Below that green skin of an avocado lies over 18 essential minerals, protein, soluble fiber, potassium even more than bananas do, vitamins B-complex, C, E, K; omega 3s, that's a few of them for now.

Wait!
Avocados do not make you fat.
The fat provided by an avocado is actually good for your heart. The fat contained in it is the same as the oils found in Olive oils (Oleic acids). Oleic Acids are good for the heart and help reduce blood cholesterol and has been proved to be beneficial on gene linked cancer and is also linked with reduced inflammation.

If you're not an avocado lover, I suggest you start having at least a slice on your meals, and it will bless you with its goodness and help keep you healthy. The good thing about it, you can add it to any recipe, from breakfast to dessert.
There are lots of delicious avocado recipes, about 70 of them in this book, An Avocado a Day: More than 70 Recipes for Enjoying Nature's Most Delicious Superfood and I'm sure you will love them.
