I haven't found a great Chef that didn't have a kickass portfolio of great food. From the time I was a young buck, my girlfriends' father said... get a haircut and get a job. I did both and he got me my first job at Circus Circus in Las Vegas, right there on the strip. I was fortunate enough to have a guy name TEX take me under his wing. I worked directly for Slim Jim and Dennis Kenefcher. These guys were award-winning Chefs and I was just a buffet grunt in the beginning. It is apparent that if you spend a portion of your life doing something consistently, you will get great at it. (By the way look at Chuy's kick-ass shoes, these are certainly badass.
Today I want to talk a little about a book I am finally going to write which will encompass the art of dining with friends. Having friends that know how to cook is not necessary, a plus, but totally not needed. Trust me if you are timid about cooking, don't be. Just get your ass in the kitchen and JUST DO IT! The worst thing is you'll burn some things and have to bear through eating it as your punishment. I am working on a project worldwide as we speak. (http://tfpjco.com) Ok, now let's not get sidetracked. The book will have the following content; Making it simple each book will contain 12 parties, 12 groups of friends and 12 dishes. I hope you are following me.
The way it will work will be simple. I will create 12 recipes based on each group of peoples' ideas. (Example) Let's say someone says "I want to cook Pistachio Pizza Crust with Vegan cheese, Salsa Roja with Fresh seasonal vegetables and Chervil. Well, I come up with the very simple recipes and coach them through the process. We set the date for the party, see who's house we are doing it at and hire the photographer and music." GETRDONE" One thing that is important is that we keep it very simple. Simple is better for sure. I will be recruiting steem bloggers in the food category to enter to win free "Chefs Brigade" gear and a raffle for my product, Sous Vide circulation cooker. I am happy to announce that it will be on the market in the next several months. We are fine-tuning the product and are going to rock and roll the market.
